Mythbound
Mythbound is a fantasy action title in active development at Skaldforge. As Design Lead, I own the full design pipeline from initial concepting through documentation, review, and handoff to engineering and level design - responsible for defining how the game plays and ensuring every system is clearly specified before it goes into production.

Systems Design & Documentation
My core responsibility on Mythbound is translating design goals into structured, actionable documentation that the full team can build from. This means authoring the GDD suite - covering mechanics, progression, and systems across combat, movement, and character abilities - along with the balance spreadsheets, system flowcharts, and design specifications that define how those systems interact. I lead weekly design reviews where I present updates, field feedback from other disciplines, and make decisions that keep production moving forward. A significant part of that work is identifying scope risks early, before they reach engineering, so the design we commit to is achievable within the production window.
Narrative Production & Writing
In addition to systems work, I write all narrative content for the project - bark sheet libraries covering combat encounters, ambient exploration, and story-critical moments, with context tags for the audio team, performance direction notes, and branching logic where player state requires it. I also write quest scripts and in-world story beats that communicate the world and character relationships without interrupting the action-forward pacing the game is built around. The goal across all of it is narrative and dialogue that serves the gameplay loop rather than competing with it.
