Mythbound is a fantasy action title in active development at Skaldforge. As Design Lead, I own the full design pipeline - from high-level systems concepting through documentation, review, and handoff to engineering and level design teams.

My responsibilities span gameplay systems design, narrative production, and cross-discipline production support. I define the feel of combat, character momentum, ability kits, and progression loops - then translate those decisions into structured GDD documentation and flowcharts that the full team can execute against.

  • Lead gameplay and systems design - combat, momentum-based movement, character abilities, and progression
  • Author and maintain GDD documentation, system flowcharts, and design specifications
  • Write bark sheet libraries and quest scripts covering story beats and reactive in-world dialogue
  • Create gameplay balance spreadsheets and lead weekly design reviews
  • Translate design goals into clear, actionable tasks for technical and level design teams
  • Support cross-discipline production and flag scope risks early

Beyond systems documentation, I write all bark sheets for combat encounters, ambient exploration, and story-critical moments. This includes voice direction notes, context tags for the audio team, and branching logic where applicable.
